It was a closely contested game through the first 3 innings in what looked to be a pitchers duel. The Giants then batted around in the 4th inning to put the game out of reach. On the mound Christian Banken and Dylan Connoly-Downey combined for 5 innings of shutout baseball striking out 11 and only allowing one base hit.
At the plate it was a team effort. Every player scored at least one run. Also contributing to the victory was the best effort running the bases the coaches have seen this year. We look for this to continue to improve as the season moves forward.
The Giants square off against the Majors White tomorrow at 6:15 looking to get their 5th win of the season. A win on Tuesday would give them some much needed momentum going in to the Forest Glen Tournament this weekend.
